Brantevik is an old and small former fishingvillage on the very southeast coast of Sweden.
It´s located by the sea in the "Österlenarea" 5km south of the main municipality of the area- Simrishamn.
During the late 19th century Brantevik was the largest center of shipping companies in the area with no less than 226 sailships distributed between it´s two harbours.
Today it´s mainly a pittoresque former fishingvillage crowded in the summer but only 700 inhabitants in the winter.
The area of Österlen is considered to be a beautiful open cultural landscape and still today with lot´s of farming. The last decades many painters, writers, acters and musicians have moved here for it´s undulating and open landscape by the sea.
I have a house here  since almost two years (in the middle of the last picture) but due to a life and a world in turmoil I have lived here alltogether only a couple of months.
