There are several moorings along the coastline of west Caicos. They are mainly for dive operators in the area but if not occupied they can be used by private boats as well.

We switched mooring in daylight and located close to the drop off (that ultimately ends in a depth of 2.000m !) it’s easy to dive from your own boat. 

Mooring lines need to be checked though. As seen from the picture chafe can make ropes unreliable and in our case we needed to create a bosuns knot to moor with healthy rope.
