We have found some useful wind although it is still coming from the east, and so we are pounding our way towards Ireland. It's a bit uncomfortable but tolerable given that we are moving.
I've included a 'DTG' on the subject line, which is 'distance to go'. That is to a small harbour on the west coat of Ireland called Dingle. We may not end up going there but it's a starting point.
I can't get over how cold it's become. I'm sleeping with most of my clothes on now. What a difference to two weeks ago.
I think I'm right in saying that Chay Blyth was the first person to sail singlehanded around the world the 'wrong' way, from east to west, and that Dee Caffari was the first woman to do it. They must be very brave people or mad.
I'm trying to spice up the pasta and rice I have. The last resort will be the very hot sauces Ian left on the boat, but I'm not quite there yet
