We were becalmed yesterday for about nine hours and
that's very frustrating. I'll have to do better at routing us to Cape Town or
we'll be here for ever!
Light winds again this morning and so we've decided to
use our light spinnaker as a cruising chute, and it works quite well. In 5k true
wind, we're getting 5 to 6k boat speed which is not a bad
return.
Ian is managing to do a lot of reading. He has the
Kindle app as well as downloading a pile of podcasts for the trip. Lot's of
flying fish but no more whales. Did we mention that we saw half a dozen off
Spain?
