We have had head winds of between 20k and 25k for the
last eighteen hours, making progress slow and uncomfortable. We both have
our favourite little corners to make ourselves as comfy as we can, but the
lesson here is to treat the weather forecast as just that. A forecast, not a
prediction.
When we were at Mindelo, I went to the fruit and veg
market and bought produce from a lady in measures of a kilo of this, two kilos
of that etc. I reached out and put two bulbs of garlic in the bag, nodding
at the lady saying 'two'. After I'd packed the bag and turned around to pay her,
she had a two kiol bag of garlic for me. I didn't have the heart to say
no.
