Bellone
Tue 13 Jun 2023 11:10
Well, we made it into Dingle at 02.30 local time this morning. I must admit that it was a bit taxing having to negotiate an unfamiliar harbour with no proper charts but the thought of an IPA/Guiness was too much to ignore.
We moved on to another berth at about 11 ish this morning and it's really nice. Dingle is a busy little town with a lot of American and German tourists and a micro brewery.
The last few weeks have been challenging but then if they were not, it wouldn't be worth doing. I have learnt a lot about Bellone but I think there is a lot more to be learnt.

A big thank you to Mat, for effectively 'weather routing' me these last few weeks.
A thank you to Jerry, for making a wonderful new mainsail. (I need to check out the dodgy battens though!).
And thanks to Nick, who oversaw the installation of the new batteries on Bellone.
A  big thanks to Mailasail staff. Well, Helle and Sue. Outstanding people who know their stuff.

I will keep a blog between here and Pwllheli just so that the whole trip is logged on Mailasail site.

But thank you for for taking the time to read the blog. It means a lot to me.
