Saturday 28th May – Mykonos (Pelican)

A fitful night’s sleep in the noisy strong winds, waking frequently to the noise of Pyxis straining against her warps and fenders bouncing around.  Our neighbours are using ear plugs to sleep but I don’t want to do it, I’d be worried that I am missing an important noise.

We had a quiet morning and went for a walk into town, finding that we now know our way around the maze of tiny streets.  We saw a pelican in the harbour there; he attracted a lot of attention.  I read that Mykonos has two pelicans, who can usually be found in the harbour area.

This afternoon Richard cleaned the cockpit where we have been living for the last two weeks and I made pastry and cooked down below.
