Friday 16th May – Estapona

We slept well and long last night and so it was a late breakfast.  We went to reception to check in and we received our complimentary bottle of wine that is the custom here at Estapona.

The wind increased dramatically at lunchtime but as we have parked stern to, it is on the bow and so still comfortable in the cockpit enclosure.  We do not get the swell here that we got in Gib so it feels much more comfortable and, although it is not a floating pontoon, we can moor the boat closer to the pontoon and step ashore as we do not have to allow for surging or as much tide.

Inevitably Richard has been to check-out the chandleries here – reported to be very good;  fortunately mostly window shopping.

We had a late lunch with the wine and I even started reading a book.  We’ve had a rest today and shelved most of the jobs for another day.

This evening I have cut Richard’s hair and he has cleaned the decks on Pyxis.

Tonight I have continued with my book.
