Argostoli, Kefalonia

Tuesday 28th July – Argostoli, Kefalonia 38:10.704N 20:29.378E
Today it reached 40 degrees Celsius in the saloon so it was a bit of a scorcher.
I did a bit of washing, Richard gave Pyxis a quick clean and we refilled the tanks.
We then headed off to the supermarket for a few supplies. Our neighbour told us it was worth a walk to the end of the headland so on the way we detoured in totally the opposite direction and went for a walk along the coast.
Beyond the new cruise ship mooring, the water turned clear and blue, and the pine trees filled in. The air was full of pine scent and of cicadas singing. There were a few bathing spots along the coast – they looked OK but not the same as swimming off the back of the boat.
This afternoon I had a Skype with Sarah on Cape – it has been a while since we have had a good chat and it was great to catch up – the wonders of the internet.
Later this evening we went to Leo’s bar across the road to have a drink with some of the other guys from the town quay. Needless to say we returned a little late.
