Messolonghi (Stitching)

Early this morning Richard went to do battle with the queue in the post office to send back a parcel that had arrived for Otwin and Rosi on Enya. It had arrived rather later than expected so we have sent it back to Germany for them to pick up when they return. He bumped into one of our French neighbours in the post office and then again at the supermarket; the same chap he had met last time he had gone into town really early.
When he got back he set to patching up the old sprayhood and cockpit enclosure in an attempt to make them serviceable for the winter. Quite a bit of stitching along the zips attaching the cockpit enclosure to the sprayhood needed attention.
This afternoon we sunbathed between chores to try to gather some last rays before they disappear for the winter; later I did a bit of splicing to make a loop on the end of our spare coil of rope (just in case we need it in a hurry).
In the evening we went into town and enjoyed drinks and mezes at one of the cafés, sitting out on the street watching the world go by. When we got back to the marina we joined Russell and Michael for a small ouzo before going back to Pyxis.
