Gibraltar (Marina Bay)

A slow day today catching up on some jobs.
As we expected, the cloud rolled in over the Rock accompanying the change in wind direction to an easterly, confirming that yesterday was a good time to picnic on the Rock – we may be slowly starting to get the hang of the meteorology around here.
I managed to catch up on a bit of reading and put off the washing based on the flimsy excuse of cloud cover.
Richard managed to sneak in a trip to the chandlers just before closing time (we now have a solar shower to try) and then made another trip to the bicycle shop we found the other day – this time it was open and I now have the carrier rack I was after. Richard has fitted the rack on my bike this evening – so now I can use my old cycle panniers for shopping.
This evening, as we move to a particularly low Springs, it appears we may need to rethink our current arrangement for getting ashore – our plank may not be long enough at low water !
Tonight another large mega-yacht has come alongside in the marina. It is clearly the time for them to do the run across the Atlantic from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean. The good news for us is that when they moor across the front of the marina they provide a great wave break against any swell J.
