Ilha da Culatra
Friday 8th February – Ilha da Culatra 36:59.917N 7:50.640W
Another blissful day at anchor here on the lagoon off Ponte Cais – fair weather but a bit hazy.
After a morning reading our books over a pot of coffee, we then ran the engine before lunch to recharge the batteries and give us the chance to try the water-maker again. Pleased to report that the water-maker seems to be functioning well so far (touch wood J) and has delivered another 45 litres into the tank in the time it was running.
The water-maker runs happily off the batteries alone but does drain them somewhat so we will need to recharge the batteries more often if not running it with the engine.
This afternoon Richard has been round trying to fix any remaining seepage on the joints of the water-maker, and I have managed to finally get the fishing rod out… unfortunately none of the fish have been volunteering to hang themselves today, but I’m not giving in yet, especially when there’s a tablecloth to avoid.
(A photo supplement will follow once we get internet access again)
