Monastir, Tunisia

Friday 8th May – Monastir, Tunisia 35:46.823N 10:49.956E
Today it was Mum’s birthday. We started the day with coffee and pain au chocolat (after the mandatory fresh fruit salad). The day was hot and sunny with a slight breeze into the cockpit and the P’s enjoyed a quiet morning with a book. They were offered options for walks around town but opted for a quiet day relaxing in the marina. I went down below and made a lemon drizzle cake as Mum’s birthday cake.
By lunchtime there was a small G&T session followed by a late lunch, another BBQ by special request of the birthday girl. We had the rest of the fabulous fresh tuna; it was just as good today.
Lunch took a while and was thoroughly enjoyed by all – even Richard didn’t mind having fish again, though was concerned by the excess of courgette.
Early evening Con and Barb came round for a drink and helped us with some lemon drizzle cake. This evening we have relaxed on board – I got the short straw and cleaned the BBQ.
