Monday 4th February – Vilamoura

The weather cleared up today.

We went over to the fish market at Quarteira to provision the fish supply with sea bass and dorado (we’ve been asked what a dorado is so we’ve added a picture below – after it has been cleaned and descaled), and then on at the supermarket to find Richard some meat.

After lunch I finished my book in the sun before heading off to the chandlery with Richard to see about replacing the Gaz bottle and the marina office to pay.  We decided both the chandleries here were expensive for Gaz after Lagos so we may seek some out somewhere else.

Never mind, the exercise did us good and we were able to visit our friends on Linsey Lea and invite them over for drinks this evening.  Their boat is just back in the water today having been anti-fouled and they are cleaning her, ready to make tracks towards the Med like the rest of us.
