Sunday 13^th July – Punta de l’ Avançada, Mallorca

Last night some heavier cloud rolled in and overnight the wind gusted up; there was even a smattering of rain this morning (not enough to wet anything though). 

We have spent the day on board – having caught up on a bit sleep, we have done some tidying up, run the engine to re-charge the batteries and run the water maker, read through the pilot books for some future passage ideas, repacked the galley cupboards having lined them with some non-slip matting, and caught up on some mail and internet. 

The sun appeared briefly this afternoon but then disappeared again; the temperature is still 26 degrees so it’s actually still very pleasant sitting in the cockpit.
