A day of catching up with the domestics…

 

Whilst I tackled the laundry which has built up over Christmas, Richard was despatched to the supermarket to get a new washing line as he had used the old rope to fix the bikes to the stanchions.

 

On his return he set about fixing the domestic water pump which has been pulsating of late when the taps are only partly switched (it’s not supposed to do that); he used the air pump to top up the pressure in the accumulator and it seems to have done the trick.

 

Next the bikes got some attention with metal polish and silicon spray to head off some rust which had appeared after the recent storm.

 

After a late lunch, Gavin and Cath from Blue Elephant dropped by to say hello having just returned from their Christmas break – rescuing us from further domestic chores.  Today was their silver wedding anniversary.

 

This evening we have had a quiet night with some DVDs as tomorrow promises to be a late night J
