Cagliari (Cabling and ducting)

Wednesday 26th November – Cagliari (Cabling and ducting) 39:12.064N 9:07.510E
Today we finally got around to finishing some of the jobs we started on Monday.
The good news is that the satellite cable is now properly fitted in. Previously it was strung around the cockpit enclosure, through a window in the aft cabin which meant that a window had to be slightly open (not a good idea now that the weather is turning so cold), and then loosely strung across the roof of the main cabin to the digi-box.
Now it enters the boat discreetly through the cockpit shower fitting (not being used over the winter) and runs through the boat out of sight in the cable ways to the digi-box. Unfortunately the duct that Richard wanted to pull the cable through was full so he has had to pull up all the boards in the aft cabin and run it through the hard way.
We have tested it over dinner and caught up on the world news - shootings in India, trouble in Thailand, cholera in Zimbabwe… puts my tooth in perspective.
