Lørdag var vi på lang sightseeing på 9 timer.
Besøkte sovende vulkan som det fortsatt er litt liv i. Lutet råtne egg lang
veig. Vannet hoildt 100 gr noen plasser.
Våre venner Ann-Karin og Leif hadde med badetøy, vi
hadde gløymt i båten. Synd for vi mistet jørme og sulfabad i 40 gr. Herlig lunch
på hotell med en fantastisk utsikt.
Som avsluttning tok sjåføren oss med til en lokal
strandselskap hvor vi spiste bl.a. store snegler og grillet rogn.
Idag har vi vært kulturelle og besøkt et gammelt
fort som franskmenn og engelskmenn sloss om i mer en 200 år. Deretter rett
på stranda og et herlig bad etter en svett tur.
Vi fortsatte over bukta i jollen og inntok et
kulinarisk måltid på en restaurant som Mattilsynet hadde stengt på minuttet. En
fantastisk og fargerik opplevelse som ikke kan berskrives med ord.
We are still in Rodney Bay, but have moved to the
marina, which is wonderful.
Saturday we went sightseeing for 9 hours. e visited
the volkano,whis stillis alive, though not dagerous, unless you go nearby the
very hot places.
We went with our friends, Ann-Karin and Leif and
they had not forgotten their bathing suits-(like us) and could enjoy the hot and
healthy sulfa water and mud in 40 degress C.
We had lunch in a restaurant with the
most spectackular view and we could see the twin mountains, Petit Peton and Gros
Peton and the sailing yachts in the bay. Lovely!!!
At the end of the trip, the taxidriver took us to a
local beach, with only seafood on the "meny". Some ate snails and that sort of
thing, other ate grilled roe.
To day we have been a bit cultural and visited the
old fort on Pigion Island. The British and the French have been
fighting over it for several undred years and we also visited the
museum.
Then, after climing down about 100 m steep path, we
jumped directly in the sea. Beatiful and warm water.
The dingy then took us to a very little
"restaurant" and we could enjoy the basic Caribbean food, made on the spot by a
real Caribbean Mama. Unforgettable!!!
