800ft to go to St Mary’s

We arrived in St Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly at 0630 UTC today (Tuesday 26 July).  The fog cleared and we even saw stars for the first time in about week.  However the weather is still classically British as it is overcast and damp.

It’s weird that now we are back on home water, although it’s very busy in the anchorage, this is the first time in ages that we have arrived in a new place and don’t know any other boats.

We’re very tired so going to be bed now for a few hours before we have a run ashore to sample the delights of these small islands.  At least we don’t need to check in first!
