Well after complaining we didn’t have enough wind for ages we now have 25 – 30 knots!

We had one day of relaxing trade winds yesterday but at about 10pm last night the first squall hit and they went on all night.   At around 4am it started raining heavily and didn’t stop until we decided to motor north at mid day to try to escape it.  Since then we have been hooning along at around 7 knots.  The adverse current has finally gone which also helps.

The sea is very big and confused so we have lots of spray on deck which means keeping all the hatches closed so it is a bit steamy down here!

Not a great day for boat jobs or sleeping but at least we are making good progress.
