Pornichet - Heading South and Getting Warmer
47 15:463N 02 21.000w Wednesday 1 September 2010-09-01 Another day of glorious sunshine with 20 knots of breeze,
unfortunately still from the east so on the nose again! Despite this we
had a beautiful sail today even if it was beating into a choppy sea and we didn’t
have to resort to the engine until the last 20 minutes – the first day of
non motoring I think! It is also definitely getting warmer, we cast off our
fleeces in the afternoon and had a lovely dinner sitting outside in the
cockpit, another first. Having been a bit partied out in the UK we
decided we now wanted a bit more company so we put the ARC flag up in case any
fellow ARC boats spotted it but so far it is very quiet. Stella berthed in Pornichet – we like Pornichet
as it has nice big pontoons for easy berthing Our first dinner outside – at last!! |
