Hi Folks,
After jealously reading the said log of Magnetic
Attraction for the past
month, anchoring exploits in particular, it all
seemed very familiar, countless
accounts of our French cousins adventures of
anchoring and fendering seem
to habitually occupy the Britz and quite
rightly so, no wonder Nelson didnt
have too much problem at the Nile and Trafalger, no
fenders and a dragging
anchor were probably the real problem there too all
comes down to dodgy tactic
in the end.
Its been a while since we have been out on
the briney, but hopfully we are planning
a trip to the Malborough sounds this summer coming,
only a 70 nm trip to the entrance
from here so no 1200 nm charge before we get to the
cruising bit this time, just a
gentle waft up the cook straight, when the forcast
says so, this will put us is
something akind to the Spanish Rias, but with a lot
less villages and human
contact, open anchorages and just the
twittering of the birds.
We are still currently under the Long white
cloud, signs of its disappation
have been wildly exagerated, apparently its now
sometime in October, so one
more month before we lift the covers and start work
on Zephs externals, meanwhile
the internal stuff is creeping along slowly, heater
all out and in my workshop being
re-built, should all be done by the end of this
week ready for install.
After that the gen set will be next on the
list, its been repaired but I have removed all
the sound deadning material which was the cause of
the overheating in the first place!
Lyn has been quitely progressing in the Art circles
and now seems to get a regular
spot at the Acadamy of Fine Arts, constantly
scurrying around with brush and
canvas, they seem to be getting bigger all the time
! a bit different to painting
boats, but theres no AWLGRIP finish to her canvases
these days.
Well that all there is to report at the moment I
wont bore you with the Oz elections
or global warming, or lack of it... just one
interesting fact did you know that us
humans only produce 1.7% of the worlds total yearly
CO2 emmisions .....
so why a carbons tax ! ! ! ! ! !
The Noah's still under a cloud in
Wellywood
PS .. they have started to film the hobbit at last
