Hi Folks,
Yes it is Yo Ho Dong , with the large amount of
chinos residence around we are wondering what they are going to do to Santa,
our next door neighbour hacks the chickens to bits
on the back door, no Crimbo trimmings , there dog however still survives ,
haven't
been asked to sample the fare, I guess there not
Koreans there as the pooch still survives .. no cat have been sited either so
beware
if your furry and cuddly, your next hop over the
garden fence could be onto a large chow mien .. I'm even a bit worried about the
girls
going out door in a furry jackets
!
The planning for the Crimbo dinner is well under
way, my extensive search of the supermarkets and shops has uncovered a
small
stash of Brussels sprouts so the Crimbo fare will
be complete, last year I had to put up with French ones out of a tin, the other
participants
in the traditional ritual Roger,Margaret, and
Lyn were not at all interested in them as they bore no
resemblance to the succulent little
brasicas we all love at this time of the year,
I think they were worried about the after effects, but alas the French extract
all the methane
from the sprout before tinning them , I think
its to prevent the tin exploding after prolonged storage, anyway I will be
dinning alone with the tiny
little things as again nobody likes them here
either , cant think why as a Brussels sprout with a little topping of
cranberries makes the perfect
topping to the rest of the plates
vegetables .
Enough of the main course, Margaret bought all the
way from Blighty to the Caribbean last year a Christmas pud, we were extremely
grateful
As we are amongst Anglo Saxon descendants here and Crimbo time is still a "Christian" sought
of affair, without any deference to offending
other religions, we have good puds
on tap at all the local stores
.. the Christmas tree
doesn't offend either as its a not some pine tree but
a rather lovely thing with red flowers that always
produces the bloom at Christmas
time.
Well that all folks further reports on the Crimbo
activities to follow, including how I'm going to present father Christmas to my
grand son on
Christmas day !
