Hi Folks,
Oh deepest joy, a large supermarket with food at a
sensible price and only 400m away ! yesterday we went to the main town to find
immigration and the port captain, we got waylaid by Vincent and Patricia in
Dolci Vita so we spent a couple of hrs catching up and gaining useful
information on the area, Vincent had cycled around the area the day before
sussing out all the hardware and useful shops for boat bits , we were extremely
grateful as it saves so much time in a new port
you can get all the essentials done then get on
with the tourist things and theirs plenty of those things to do here
.
Immigration was the usual, strait forward 1
min of form filling and done , we also collected our duty free fuel form for
cheep diesel , another island and the price per litre is less that 70 pence !
not as good as Panama but still no bad seeing as they have to haul it 5000 nm
from either South America or Indonesia .
We then went into town and sat down to a
wonderful Chinese meal washed down with a few beers, Lyn is now feeling a bit
better so attempted and kept down her chowmain ...
Back on the bus to the Supermarket , a few
hrs spent soughing out what we needed to get on the big shop , bought some great
French cheeses and went back to Zephyr for a movie and cheese bicks and a glass
or two of the red stuff ..
We were due to go into the marina but
windspeeds across the dock are 15 to 18 knots so I wont be attempting that given
the position we are due to be put in , will wait for tomorrow when hopefully it
will be a little calmer !
A Contented and well fed crew
