The Roll Continues.
Well after patting ourselves on the back for
yesterdays team effort in repairing the spinnaker track we had a quiet evening
just rolling along the ocean waves eating a sumptuous chicken curry with Bombay
potato and rice .. umm ...
Another ship sighting , the first for a week , it
occurred around one o/c in the morning , Japanese fishing boat we think , it
showed on the AIS monitor and we had a visual sighting , we get a bit jumpy with
these boats as it is reported that they lay 15 mile long drift nets , they are
supposed to have strobe markers on them but quite how you would see them in
these swells of 10ft from a yacht cockpit is another matter , all right if your
on the bridge of a merchant vessel , and then as we all know if the radar alarm
didn't go off they would just plough straight through it anyway .
Thanks for all your emails out there , keeps
the spirits up on a daily basis , welcome to new bloggers , the word
is spreading out there and the audience grows , its a struggle sometimes to
think of what to stay but with scattered thoughts through the day from the
crests to the bottom of waves, we manage to cobble something together in
the end , subject matter from yesterday which Rob will regurgitate later in the
blog to comment on , he's ti Toche today so Rob your under the
spotlight again !
Hi There,
We were all patting each others backs, and looking
forward to the beer we had earned having averted near disaster. Re the
repair to the mast. You can imagine our chagrin when on checking emails
some nit picker had the impudence to poo poo our choice of rivets.
Where are we to get the correct monell rivets mid Pacific I wonder. The
interferer, you know how you are, a scooter rider no less. To a biker bred
on Bonneville's and Norton Commandos you can imagine how vexed I got over
this incident. But worse was to come. Chris whom I took to be a
fellow biker, and Ducati owner now tells me he has a scooter as well. Thus
my day went rapidly downhill after the high of the morning. I was still
fizzing this morning, but am all right now having taken out my rage on a
defenceless lump of dough. Yes it's my turn to make bread again, and it's
bangers and mash for dinner. Should be my last turn as chef of the day
this side of the Marquises. Hee Hee, Having got that off my chest I
now feel a lot better. Honestly Phil, a scooter, get yer self a proper
bike.
Bye from chilled Rob.
I think Teddies to blame ..... anon
