Hi Folks,
Well you have all read by now "Innocent Robs"
repost to the claim that he ate the last Snicker bar , after an initial
admission he has now changed his story line and gone to print , at this point I
may add that after the Snicker incident he found an apple in the veg locker and
shared it with the fruit eaters amongst us rather sheepishly .. I suspect as a
peace offering , but it was noted that after we ate the cake over two days
Ruth's portion she didn't have room for was carefully wrapped and kept to munch
on the night watch by " Innocent Rob" .
I now feel as a responsible skipper that I must
call on the eminent legal friends out there and other fair minded people to give
there verdict on the " Snicker Incident " so it can be laid to rest until the
next time , so your views will be greatly received reviewed and put to
the accused , we also have the view of a psychiatric specialist but we are
saving that till after we have had a few replies to our request of guidance in
these matters .
In reply to Robs em yesterday about my galley
duties he conveniently forgot to mention the fresh bread I baked and that he ate
for lunch ! and the cake was all my own , not as alleged " guided by Lyn " it
was done strait from the packet instructions which as you girlies all now is
quite good for a man , to read and mix at the same time , multi tasking is there
no end to my talents.
Onto sailing matters, we have had light winds so
have been wallowing along at a four knt crawl for the last 24 hrs , as the boat
rolls of the swells of 6 to 8 ft the sail spills air and cracks back when it
fills again ! this morning though it has picked up a bit and we are moving along
at a more respectable pace of 5 to 6 knots still with the gennicker up and poled
out .
Amazing site yesterday afternoon a large pod of
Pilot whales surrounded the boat as we sailed along , they also had dolphins
with them, these guys were so close you could almost touch them , needless to
say the video cam and stills cams were clicking away at this free show, the best
yet by the mammal community on the high seas.
On the fishing front another Dorado was caught by
Lyn's strange lure device , she spent ages fashioning this device which looks a
bit like a shoe horn with a large hook on the end of it ,anyway it seems to have
been successful .
Still getting no joy with our weather ugrib
downloading the PC seems to want to do other things with their time and we are
still finding it a pain with no info , Roger has kindly sent us the files but
the system only stays on line for 1 min 17 sec then cuts out so we can transmit
and receive em but not weather files .
On the food front we had a great chicken curry last
night with Bombay potato and rice , yum yum , enough was made to freeze one half
of it down , so the freezer is pretty chocker with grub , its normally a one way
thing from the deep freeze but this trip through the fishing peoples efforts we
seem to be on the surplus side .
To close the blog today I have one last dit to
relay , we changed the fwd sails in anticipation of 20 knts of wind later , it
had been raining previously to this so I had removed my shorts and in Foully
top , underpants ( Sikh style) and lifejacket with leg straps done up I
proceeded to the fwd pushpit to lower the spinnicker pole and secure it to the
guard rail , when I looked back the cockpit mob were in hysterics as to the view
from the rear , they said it looked like I had suspenders on with saggy
underpants when I bent down, luckly they didnt have time to get the camera , Rob
said he felt aroused , I wasn't quite sure what he meant, maybe he's suffering
from choc withdrawal symptoms or been at sea to long !
Bye for now
