Hi Folks ,
Big day yesterday , we crossed the date line from
west to east, and there was no bump either, so we're now back in the same
hemisphere as those of you living in the east of the country. The wind has
finally arrived and gave us a good days sail at 6 knts plus .
Life onboard has resumed to a normal ship routine ,
chef of the day was treated kindly as it was Trevor's first floating quisine
feast , did a good job, bangers mash and peas , and he never spilt a drop
.
Lots of weather talk on the net, seems that the
vessel that turned back to Minerva was bottling it as the weather predictions
seem to be as good as you will get in these regions for this time of year, no
wind at first followed by a hooly as you get nearer NZ.
The consumption of books being read has increased
with the number of Zzzeds coming out of the bunks , as we have shifted to a five
way split on the night watch it works out at 8 hr is your bunk .. Lazarus would
be proud of us !
A crew on passage ,
