Hi Folks,
Plumber the world over have the same rep and its
true here also, "I'll be there at nine gov" was the cry down the phone on the
27th but come the day guess what they pitched up at twelve o'clock , didn't want
to argue though he was a very large Samoan gent who looked like Jono Alumo I
thought he was going to grab the drain pipe and shake the shit out of it but he
produced one of these clever mechanical devices and spent half an hour poking
his whirly thing into every drain top , the end result was pleasing though as
the drains are now free flowing, the cause " Hair of the head" it defiantly
wasn't mine as there's a shortage in that department, the girlys I fear were
responsible as the machine produced a four inch dia by one foot long hair bung,
its the best way to describe what appered as the grey water levels dropped
and we were fully functioning again in the waste water department, the charge
from the plumber was wait for it folks .....
Not Three hundred not two hundred but
just eighty pounds and that's at the current crap exchange rate, excuse the pun
! thats to drive 25 km and do the job bargain we thought
....
It was then onto the leaking tap , that was a
nice little job as I had installed it all some seven years ago , it all came out
a piece of cake and completed within 40 mins of commencing . .. the Docs was
also all completed as Lyn went for her second thyroid check up, all good but
more blood tests in a month to follow, its to do with the dose adjustment
it takes a long time to get it sorted apparently .
Back to the house hunting tomorrow, long list to
get through, Lyn's been at the property mags over the holiday period
.
More DIY on the cards as we have to get a few of
the jobs completed that we didn't finish last time we were here two and a half
years ago !
