Hi Folks,
More boat work , but it all stopped when the sun
came out this Sunday , we went on a walk with Summer Wine,Trenelly and Sebrights
, crews along the coastal path to Phaia , great weather with a cooling breeze,
we stopped in a small bay just around from Opua and had our packed lunch which
was the remnants from the nights farewell party of all the above crews plus
Slipnier as in the next few days we will all be going our separate ways in NZ ,
Summer Wine , looking for local work in the yachting industry, Trenelly ! Fiona
is eight months pregnant so Jason will have his hands full soon, Sebright ,
Joe has a job as a nurse in Auckland but may change to Nelson if poss , Rob
and Ruth our trusty companions will be manning there land yacht and touring the
islands also , Ruth is really happy she has no long hauls at sea to go but I
suspect that she has done to many sea miles to not want to get back on the water
soon, Slipnier are touring the Islands, they are onboard the wagon
to Wellington with us tomorrow , we are off to a Sheryl Crow
concert with John Melancamp ! a real rave from the grave but it sounds a
really great weekend coming up, Gail and friends have arranged a five bed
house in the Wiarapa area , wine growing region just above the city of
Wellington should be a blast ....
No sign of our old friends Rhythm , we have
enquired at customs but they have not lodged a form to arrive here yet , rumour
has it that they are at Minerva reef but no other yachts that asked who have
recently arrived have heard from them !
We are off tomorow , but the blog will continue on
our travells and we will be reporting in on John ( Who) Melancamp
...
All onboard ... now damp again after rain and 15
