High folks,
Sorry I haven't been blogging but last week was all
go, Rob and Ruth departed Thursday for there two month trip to the south island,
after extending Ruth's part of the bed in the campervan, perhaps now a good
nights sleep will be achieved ! don't know how she slept on a 500mm shelf only
1300mm long ! ! .
Lyn has been demolishing plant beds and concreting,
I eventually finished the deck base and have started building the deck proper,
we had a good weekend of manual labour, sore at first but now the body is
getting back into it and the muscles don't seem as painful, a disadvantage of
being afloat .
The house is also progressing well as the house
surveyor has been in and we have applied for the LIM report, all houses here
have there plans for drainage,layout, and refurbs registered so when you apply
all the info coms back, so you can check against existing .
Once this is complete we then put a deposit
down , the solicitors do there thing , then we pay the balance in an agreed time
frame.
This weekend coming up is Masterton fair day, its
strange to describe it bet its a huge rural fair in the Wiarapa wine region , no
clues there as to what goes on apart from purchasing pickled onions ect !
Lyn is on a fact finding tour of the art
displays, she's been banging out paintings in various styles and is displaying
at the Academy of Fine arts this autumn.
