Free Zone

Hi Folks ,
Winds been up over here for the past few days so
our daily pilgrimage to the shore has been wet , we have taken to getting into
our bathers or going punk style in a bin liner , anyway once we have reached
shore and downed a pitcher of Panama ( local beer ) which is really quite good
we are ready to face the afternoon tasks .
Ike and myself ( Veg) went to the copiers
with our charts so we could duplicate them , very good service all for 1.6
dollars a chart .
We also visited the Free Zone , its the first
place we have felt comfortable walking round , it a town within a town , a
walled area within Colon , passport entry and they issue you with another pass
to enter and exit , the place is a great contrast to the outside , its basically
a trading area both wholesale ( By the Container ) or retail , we browsed around
, its the furthest we have walked since Martinique !
We have found a couple of good taxi drivers
and are now contemplating a tour out to the locks in Guatan lake in the next few
days .

Veg , I'm still out of the locker , but my uno
exploits could drive me back in , we have denied Happy Rob his victory so far he
is just four points off , but a crafty manoeuvre of seat changing and no
excessive card shuffling has produced results , I'm 96 points from victory
!
