Hi Folks,
Well the container contence lays in our 40m sq
garage, it has taken four days to sought through it, a lot of "why the f**k did
I bring that thing" and a few Ahhs " mainly at the photo boxes" were hered
emanating from the garage, anyway the Kiwi equivalent of ebay which is called
trade me will be busy, the container, and lots of other bits will be hitting the
airwaves soon.
The Flats are progressing again after that
frustrating four days of " Container work" it reminded me of being back at my
old business, and loading them up, that was far easier and I much prefer loading
them.
On the entertainment front the "Top Gear " Road
show hit town a few months ago, well the country really, minus the dull
boring one who apparently doesn't travel, either that or Clarkson didn't want
him along anyway they had a big petrol heads gathering in Auckland and it was
big news here, lots of TV and radio, the upshot of it was that the little dwarf
who tags along with Clarkson, I think its the one who couldn't keep his drag
machine in a strait line, is heading ( pardon the pun) the
Telecom advertising campaign, I remember seeing him in Braiiacks , he looked
normal there but obviously the accident must have done something to his looks ,
the ad depicts him with his 3 g phone, he is dressed in a Jenson Button look a
likely race suit and acts as if he has a broom pole up his jacksy with some one
pulling the strings like a thunderbird puppet, and his hair looks
most peculiar , can anyone help me out there, is he bald with a wig ! or
has lightning struck him !
Anyway were are now nearing mid winter and the
Swine flue pandemic has arrived, mainly from up north , the government has shut
schools as soon as one person tests positive, has the world gone mad, they are
even closing businesses under government health directives, I bet in Britain its
bus as usual, dodgy MP fleecing the tax payers is much more exciting news never
the prolls, I here Gordon's still hanging in there but the rabble smell the
blood I fear, what is the alternative, Cameron ! a public school boy, nice but
dim ... well that's what he reminds me of a classic Harry Enfield type, still we
have our equivalents here, the pr machine isn't as well oiled and MP's make some
real gaffs in speeches here, its nice to see there human and not protected by
layers of PR and speech writers, not forgetting publicists and speech trainers,
no wonder the poor bugger have to fiddle there expenses, that just to keep up
with the master story teller , Tony who no doubt is having a quite chuckle to
himself these days ...
News from Wellywood , Peter Jackson is making the
"Hobbit" movie soon, well that's the buzz around town .
