Hi Folks,
Making slow progress in light winds , 8 to 10 knots
, all change on the sail front this morning , down small sails up big gennicker
, our speed thought is down to 5 knts so we wont make the Tuamotoes by the 14th
we are making enough speed to be there at midnight so will probably slow down
some more so as not to be sitting outside the pass for 12 hrs waiting to go in
.
Out came the sextant today , we took our
sights and did the maths till our brains hurt but the result was within 1 nm so
Rob is chuffed as he was the sight man today , my turn tomorrow !
On the fishing front still no joy , it was reported
that Rhythm caught a 10 kg tuna last night , deep depressions with the fishing
folk onboard ...
The good news is that these light airs have bought
calmer seas, not so much roll just a gentle reminder now and again, it always
seems to happen when your heads bound or doing something fiddley ..
No scandal has occurred as of yet , no
snickers or any treats left in the cupboard to be scrumpt , beer all gone , and
down to the last four bottles of wine , so it will be a restock on a modest
scale when we get to Tahiti ...
The calmer crew
