The great house hunt

Hi Folks,
Well since the start of the new year the great
house hunt has continued, we are getting to know the area quite well but have
seen a lot of dumps,it all location location in Lyn's eyes and the market here
is a lot different to the Uk, were as I think I have said before that 70% of NZ
er's rent, which is why probably the market is not being impacted as much as the
UK, all the good ones seem to be snapped up, now though we have got in with a
few agents in the know and are getting properties to view just before they come
on the market, hopefully we should get back on the ladder soon, the rentals here
are good returns if they are in the right place, anywhere on the transit routes
into the city and your on a winner .
We have started to get back into the work mode,
completing tasks on Gail's house which we did not complete last time
.
Another project is the deck in the back garden, our
friend who sailed with us from Tonga, Trevor who has been in the local building
trade and also been a building inspector gave us a few pointers down the right
path, as the building codes and practices here are a lot more stringent that the
UK for DIY projects, but the guidance given is clear to even the thickest punter
so I should just make the grade !
The keep fit campaign is well under way with lots
of run/walks under way, swimming and lots of fruit ! infact I'm probably going
to sprout a few routes and plant myself if I don't keep on the move
..
Nanny Lyn is fine and arting a lot these days, the
container however still remains in limbo land, the official who is dealing with
it is back on Monday so some progress should be made next week !
We are going back to the bay on the 6th of Feb, we
have some friends joining us and we will be off for trips around the bay, cant
wait to get back on the water after being on land for so long !
