Arrived in Simpson Bay at 15.45 after a good sail from St Kitts – sailed all the way even in the lee of St Kitts.  Anchored in the bay to wait for the bridge to open at 17.00 to go into the lagoon and the marina.  Ian and Gerry are here as their daughter and husband are coming out in a couple of days time.

 

Our main reason for coming here is to buy a new anchor. We currently have a Delta which most times is fine but we have decided to buy a Rocna – a new-generation anchor which everyone who has one raves about.  Our anchor chain is very rusty so we may change the chain as well if we can get it to the boat.
