Thursday 29th May – Monday 2nd June

We left Chatham bay and had a good sail down to Carriacou, anchoring in Tyrrel Bay. The taxi service was on hand again to ferry us into the dock to check in to Grenada.

We spent 4 days in Tyrell bay which is a very pleasant anchorage. It has a decent dinghy dock and restaurants along the road by the beach.  We tried walking into Hillsborough but gave up after 5 kilometres as the road started to wind inland and go uphill.  Barbara and Brian did the same journey a few days later on their bicycles and found a short cut just about 100 metres from where we had turned round!

We left Tyrell on Monday to go to Port Louis marina on Grenada, and planned to meet with Red Shoes later in the week at one of the bays in the south of Grenada.

Tyrell bay had been very windy as had Chatham bay so we are hoping for a bit less wind in the marina.
