Luna Quest

Fri 5 Feb 2016 15:35
Daily run: 139 logged miles
As luck would have it, the breeze returned in the afternoon and stayed with us overnight giving us a great sail on the two poled-out foresails. At noon today (GMT) or 0900hrs local time we have just 120 miles to go, which at 4.5 knots will get us there by midday tomorrow. Carnival will have started so we are not expecting many hands from the marineros to see us in. Hopefully, there will be some crew about of the other boats to help us, as parking the boat is Mediterranean style requiring the stern to be fastened to the quay and the bow to a mooring line ahead.
We expect to be heading off again later next week towards Grenada in the Caribbean (some 2000 miles). We may stop on the way at Fortaleza if we are running short of water, food or fuel.
