The trade winds are holding steady, grey clouds have made way for white ones and the sky is visible through a thin veil of white fluff. The fleet that we have left behind are now in Fortaleza, in the middle of the doldrums with much humidity and fickle winds. What we have gone through in the doldrums awaits them in no small measure when they set off on Thursday on their way to Grenada. Only two other boats in the fleet will be bypassing Fortaleza.

We have not had to adjust the sails since we came out of the doldrums. The trade winds have proved stable in direction and force so far. We hope they may continue in tis way to carry us all the way to Grenada.
