The satphone continues to play up with each weather download,
costing Si a fortune and doing nothing for his blood pressure. The
GRIB files that finally sat on the laptop were not a pretty picture.
The low we wanted to stay south of had intensified and we altered our
course further south to 100°m. The winds for now had veered and
lessened and it was a rolly day in gentle breezes with the engine
taking over completely by late afternoon. With the weather due to turn
hairy tomorrow I prepared vegetables for a stew and made the most of
calmish conditions and time on my hands making lasagne for supper
today.
Either we have a stowaway mouse onboard or something under our bunk
has developed a loud squeak. At least with flattening seas sleep was
easier and feeling quite fine at change of watch I couldn’t bear to
wake Si who for once was sleeping like a baby. I crept back on deck
hoping he could bank some more zeds before the blow comes through. At
present the barometer is steady.
