Trillium Wind left this blowy morning and I helped Cedric and Jan with their lines as I waved them off. I wonder if we’ll meet again; I do hope so. I also indulged in a marathon letter writing session this morning which I haven’t done in ages. Where does the time go when cruising? After lentils on bread, yum! I polished the metal inside then vacuumed and washed down the forward cabin before refitting the covers. After apparently 30kts  of wind yesterday things were a little calmer as the afternoon approached. I am slightly paranoid a mooring line will chafe through or something will break while Si is away and constantly go round checking things. I took the salt stained jack stays off and gave them a bath before doing some more laundry. Compiling a list of things to do, I now doubt I will achieve all I hoped to before Si returns. After months away I only seem capable of moving at a snail’s pace and am totally incapable of multitasking.

A van arrived in the marina today selling a few items of fruit and vegetables. I strolled over and bought some wonderful baby carrots to snack on until the very green bananas ripen. Conveniently there is a bus from the marina to the town on Friday so if it’s still too blowy for my first solo dinghy expedition over to the village for the bus to town, at least I can go from the marina. A certain someone has a birthday the day after his return and I still have found him no surprises.
