Day 6 – Rock a Bye Baby / Shake

In contrast, last night, with my gentle rolling, they slept so deeply that waking for watches was difficult. Even when the wind picked up gusting 29kts they still slept soundly.

While Simon was busy on the SSB this morning (temporarily losing our transmit function), Lini had such a giggle with me in the cockpit. We took part in the ARC virtual aerobics class. Although we couldn’t hear Pam’s instructions on the radio, we played our ‘Shake’ playlist on the iPod and followed the printout as best we could in big seas while listening to great tunes. I can’t wait to hear how many of us girls joined in: What fun! Lini was only saying she needed some exercise; she’s missing her morning Tai Chi along ‘R’ pontoon then toning. I hate to say it but things are not likely to improve with the meals they’re eating!

This afternoon they trailed lines off my stern then pulled them in with glum faces this evening – Strange! Simon is also glum as he wants to get Porsche (the Parasailor) out of my wardrobe but it’s still too blowy. My sails stayed reefed as the wind and seas built after dinner. No friends seen again today although a couple of yachts passed us in the night.

Breakfast – Melon, banana + yoghurt – Bacon, egg, rosti + beans.

Lunch – Rocket, avocado + smoked salmon salad.

Dinner – Curry + Rice.
