How on earth I can write a daily journal and not realise the date
is beyond me. Yesterday I forgot about Anzac Day and after specially
scanning a recipe for Anzac biscuits before we left too. I also had to
do a swift money transfer as today is Dan and Cath’s second wedding
anniversary: Where did those two years go? It seems like only
yesterday the two love birds tied the knot.
Really bad news came today when Si ran the watermaker and dreadful
noises came from under our bunk. He ripped up the bed to check it and
discovered the key between the pump and the motor had sheared off with
filings everywhere. Will the problems with this damn thing never end?
Si felt sure the motor must have been damaged after the pump was
malfunctioning for so long. He spent a very frustrating few hours
trying to locate a service engineer and contacting Spectra to order a
new key. This just shouldn’t be happening: He paid for a very
expensive watermaker that has never worked properly in nearly three
years. While Si battled on with the ordering I baked Anzac (Plus One)
Biscuits then tried out some painting techniques from my book. Oh I do
love to play with my paint box. I cooked Si a nice dinner to try and
cheer him up but how can he stay cheery with all this ‘Spectra
Stress’?
