It was an early start. Si’s taxi was also taking another lady to the airport so he hung around for a while until she was delivered from the anchorage by dinghy clad in waterproofs against the windy spray. I was sad to wave goodbye to Si. Ten days is the longest we’ve been apart in a very, very long time. I plan however to keep myself very busy to make the time go quickly and firstly fired up the laptop in the hope of catching my family home as it’s the weekend. Through the day I managed to talk to all three of my babies, Bob for the first time in over a month. Between skyping the covers were ripped off the upholstery and washed and I made a pot of lentils with vegetables to last the stones and I a few days. The wind was blowing a hooly by now and after spending a fair time erecting a very long washing line around the boat I decided it best to wait till the morning to peg the laundry out. The stern line was now snatching so badly I added a bungee line in an effort to get some sleep. I was shattered by early evening and had a very early night.
