Brindabella's Web Diary

Much improved this morning I decided the rolling of Brindabella at sail would probably be more comfortable for a poorly tummy than life on a mooring buoy in Britannia Bay, so we set off for Saline Bay on the island of Mayreau in Tobago Cays. Could scenery or anchorages possibly improve on this? What a delight for the eyes as we dropped the hook then rested in the shade of the bimini. Shoals of tiny silver fishes bounced out of the water with larger fish jumping in hot pursuit for their lunch. The long golden sandy beach was empty with the one and only village rising behind. Dotted between the more sober shades were garishly painted houses– the daring purple with orange roof and bolder orange with orange roof! , (We don’t talk about the small power plant at the top of the hill!), numerous islands scattered the sea behind us.

While admiring the view ‘Dr. Williams’ and I consulted the medical books on board and compared notes as to what could be wrong with my innards which were showing no signs of improving today after a great improvement yesterday. We agreed the nearest match for symptoms was gall stones! Aarrhhh!  We had a quiet afternoon onboard and a delicious low fat dinner then Si watched DVDs while I slept….. on…….and on……..and on……
