We were both up early today with lots still to do. I made banana pancakes with the squishy ones remaining in the basket then we hit the supermarket with a long list. We never know what we will find in the way of fresh produce but there is always something appealing amongst the chicken gizzards and tripe. It took me a fair time to put everything away, swapping things round in the cupboards yet again and then weighing up a big batch of dry pancake mix for the box.

While checking to see if the autohelm had arrived, Si had a sample of water from the watermaker tested which as suspected had quite high but still safe salinity levels. He pulled the floor up to do some maintenance on the watermaker and while he shouted angrily at it below I connected to the marina wifi to pay my income tax, check emails and upload the blog. We don’t know when we’ll next have access to the internet. Ron (Zahara) called by for a coffee with perfect timing to calm frazzled tempers. He invited us for drinks this evening which was a lovely get together with a few of his other friends as well. It was so exciting to hear about the Grenadines and Grenada that we will visit next and also to hear of Ron’s plans. I do hope our paths will cross again on our travels.

Si had woofed down rather a lot of nibbles with his beer on Zahara so I wasn’t surprised when he wasn’t very hungry back on Brindabella. I made a quick salad for us before bed.
