Day 10 – Half Way Celebrations

They waited for the weather files before selecting my sails this morning. We had covered little ground in the last 24hours and the big rolly seas continued. Strong winds were forecast so Porsche stayed in her bag and they rigged a pole for the headsail. Immediately my speed improved by half to one knot and we flew along at respectable speeds for the rest of the day and night.

With great excitement we had a party today to celebrate reaching half way. Still on a roller coaster ride Simon carefully poured chilled champagne into two glasses and I was given a taste too. Hic! 1350 nm to go. Showers, laundry, rig checks and cooking filled the day with little time for naps.

Breakfast – Kiwi, apple+ yoghurt.

Celebrations – Champagne- Paté canapés.

Lunch – Lentil and vegetable soup, seed rolls.

Dinner – Cottage pie, carrots, broccoli.
