Moonbeam was the last yacht to be loaded aboard MV ‘Sampogracht’ and then she headed to Newport Rhode Island to unload a few yachts before heading for Southampton. Bad weather in the Atlantic caused delays and the expected 8 day trip took 13!

Moonbeam was the first to be craned back into Southampton water at 0900 on Monday 21st and we motored around to Ocean Village Marina to get ready for the sail home. We had enjoyed our few days in Southampton meeting up with some good friends.

Tuesday 0800 and we cast off and headed to Cowes to fill up with diesel before heading West. A good tide under us and we make 10 knots over the ground down the West Solent and past the Needles With a good breeze we made good time to Weymouth, mooring up at 1700hrs.
