38.58.541N 076.28.953W Solomons to Annapolis 44.5 miles logged Away at 0730 and another 45 mile day in store so the morning flood tide is a helpful bonus. Patchy winds allowed some sailing and as we neared Annapolis there were at last more signs of yachts sailing around. We picked up a mooring at Spa Creek just off the US Naval College. Here yachts are jammed in everywhere there is space and it was amusing to watch the rush hour traffic held up at the bridge opening for a 22ft boat just back from a day sail! Wine stocks replenished at an excellent wine shop and a superb ice cream consumed!
Wind 12.3 knots, boat speed 6.6 knots, temperature 36.5 degrees! Note the ‘at the ready’ flyswat
