Apologies for the lack of blogs! We have been tired, busy and devoid of wifi!

We finally arrived in Bequia at about 16.30 local time on Friday New Year's eve. Paul & Janie had arranged a mooring for us in a packed harbour and met us with a welcome bag of fresh fruit; obviously expecting us all to be suffering from scurvy! Champagne aboard Moonbeam and after a tidy up it was across to "Shian" for dinner where your scribe (and others) more or less fell asleep. We all got soaked to the skin returning to Moonbeam but all managed to be awake for the excellent firework display at midnight.
Sunday was a slow day but we went ashore for a wander about and were greeted "Happy New Year" by several Bequians in various stages of sobriety(or otherwise) .  One on hearing that we were from Scotland said he had some coal -- charcoal -- for first-footing us!
We took a taxi (pick-up truck!) around part of the island and generally chilled out looking at the ever changing scene and eat out in a couple of the typical Bequian restaurants.
Caught up with various friends on other yachts and had 'Daffodil' collect and return our laundry.
Bequia has always been the target so it was great to have succeeded with another stage of the trip and Moonbeam's fourth transatlantic crossing. The topsides are encrusted with salt and the stern sections were encrusted with goose barnacles but apart from that she is in great condition.
