After a few domestic and boat jobs I went over to the Yacht Club Marina to see our new  Japanese friends Hiro and Kako on there Hinckley Sowester 42 " Drifty";another black McCurdy design. They have had the yacht for 20 years  now and this is their second European trip; they are wintering on the Vilaine in France and plan to head for Scotland in 2011 so if anybody meets them enjoy their company!
Went to the marina office at "lunchtime" to settle up for a couple of nights and guess what?- they were closed until 5.pm for "lunch" When I went back they were charging more than anticipated so we moved out to anchor for an early start.
However also at anchor were "Ron Glas" ( whom we had spoken to in Drake's Pool Crosshaven and a lovely wooden American yacht "Norna". The crews of both boats came for a drink;Peter and Kourtney from " Norna" with guitar and banjo and for a few hours we enjoyed plenty of chat and music. A beautiful evening and a lovely sunset.

We left Bayona and Spain at 07.15 with expectation of a fresh Northerly tail wind but it ended up too light to sail with so again we motor sailed through sparkling seas to Povoa de Varzim where we had booked a berth.

The pontoon berth is rather shorter than we were expecting but Moonbeam is now trussed up. Ironically enough we are moored next to a Moody 54 from Craobh who has recently bought a Zodiac from AYC.!
